Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is a joint venture company with equity participation from Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the rail based Mass Rapid Transit System for Delhi & NCR. DMRC conducts recruitment for Junior Engineers in fields of Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil. Diploma in respective disciplines is a must to apply for any specific field.
NOTE: Candidates between age 18 to 28 Years are eligible to apply.
– Candidates with three year Engineering Diploma holders in respective discipline can apply for Junior Engineer (Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Civil) post. Candidates with higher qualification like B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Civil Engineering, are also eligible to apply for the posts of Junior Engineers.
– Candidates who are appearing at the qualifying exam,(passing of which would render them educationally eligible for these posts) but have not yet been informed of the results, are also eligible for applying for these posts.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Exam Pattern: For the post of Jr.Engineers (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Civil), the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process –
i) Computer Based Test – CBT (two papers).
ii) Personal Interview.
iii) Medical examination.
DMRC Written Exam Pattern:The written test will consist of two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II, to be held on the same day in the same centre). Paper I will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions and Paper -II will consist of subjective type questions.
DMRC CBT Paper-I Exam Pattern: Paper-I will consist of multiple-choice objective type, bilingual (Hindi/English) questions, on below stated subjects.

Note: There will be negative marking. For every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted in Paper I.
DMRC CBT Paper-II Exam Pattern: will consist of objective type questions on General English to judge the knowledge of English language. There will be a total of 60 questions, each carrying equal marks. There will be negative marking. For every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.
The Paper-II shall be of 45 minutes duration.
Note: Candidates who qualify in Paper-I & Paper-II at rank high on the merit list, within the zone of consideration in (Both Paper-I & Paper-II separately) as decided by DMRC shall be called, based on the overall merit of CBT(both Paper-I & Paper-II together), category wise, for Medical Examination/GD & Interview at Delhi/NCR

I want to know that whether the question asked in junior engineering exam of railways are from the same branch as the applicant or from different branch ?

Question asked in DMRC junior engineering exam of railways are from the same discipline, the candidate has applied for. Suppose, you applied for Civil vacancies, the questions will be from Civil branch engineering.

No, you can’t appear this year but you can appear next year as according to official notification, final year candidates can apply whose results are awaited.
