Eligibility Required for NTPC Engineering Executive Trainees post are as below:
– Age Limit: A candidate’s age must not be more 27 years at the time of applying.
– Educational Qualifications:– Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with not less than 65% marks, taking average of all the Years, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular year by the Institute/University.
– Final year/semester students are also eligible however they have to obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree.
– A candidate with the prescribed degree identified for the discipline as given below can only apply for the post of EETs in the respective disciplines:

NTPC Engineering Executive Trainees Examination Selection Process: Eligible candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Based on the GATE MARKS and requirement, candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks in GD & Interview, before being considered in the merit list.

2) Management Trainee (Integrated Materials Management): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology (Full Time) (4 years after 10 +2) in the Branches of Electrical / Mechanical / Production, from Institutes / Universities, recognized by appropriate statutory authorities in the country. AMIE courses by Institute of Engineers (India) are also eligible.
– General / OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 65% marks and SC / ST /PWD candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% Marks, in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings/ Gradations in their Engineering Degree Examinations.

3) Management Trainee (Marketing): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology (4 years Full Time course after 10 +2) in the Branches of Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical & Production, with 2 years Full Time Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Marketing Management from Institutes / Universities recognized by appropriate statutory authorities in the Country. Candidates who possess MBA qualification with dual specialization with one being Marketing are eligible.
– General / OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 65% Marks in the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent and a minimum of 60% Marks in the Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Marketing Management, in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings/ Graduations.SC / ST / PWD candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% Marks in the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent and a minimum of 50 % Marks in the Post Graduate Degree / Diploma, in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Graduations.

4) Management Trainee (Human Resources): Bachelor’s Degree (Full Time) (3 years after 10 +2) with 2 years Full Time Post Graduate Degree / Diploma / MBA / MSW / MA with specialization in Human Resources/ Personnel Management / Industrial Relations from Institutes / Universities recognized by appropriate statutory authorities in the country. Candidates who possess MBA qualification with dual specialization with one being HR are eligible.
– General / OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 60 % Marks in both the Bachelor’s Degree and Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations. SC / ST / PWDcandidates should have secured a minimum of 50% Marks in both the Bachelor’s Degree and Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations.

5) Management Trainee (Legal): Bachelor of Law (5 years integrated Full Time course after 10 + 2) or Bachelor’s Degree(Full Time) with Bachelor of Law (Full Time) (3 + 3 years after 10 + 2), from Institutes /Universities, recognized by appropriate statutory authorities in the country.
– General / OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% Marks in both Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years Bachelor of Law or a minimum of 60% Marks in Bachelor of Law (5 years Integrated Law course), in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations. SC / ST /PWD candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% Marks in both Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years Bachelor of Law or a minimum of 50% Marks in Bachelor of Law (5 years Integrated Law course), in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations.
