All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is conducted by Bar Council of India (BCI) to examine an advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India. The AIBE will assess skills at a basic level, and is intended to set a minimum benchmark for admission to the practice of law; it addresses a candidate’s analytic abilities and understanding basic knowledge of law. After passing the examination candidate will be awarded “Certificate of Practice” by the Bar Council of India. AIBE is conducted in 39 cities all across India. Candidates can attempt the examination in 11 languages.
Examination pattern will be multiple choice question and it will be open book exam, which means that candidates can bring in any study material, such as the AIBE Preparatory Materials, textbooks and treatises, and handwritten notes etc.
AIBE Eligibility Criteria:– Eligibility required to appear for AIBE are as follows-
– Age Limit: Candidate should have completed 21 years of age at the time of applying.
– Educational Qualification:Candidate must pass LLB & must be enrolled with any State Bar Council.
AIBE Exam Pattern:– e All India Bar Examination will have multiple-choice questions (i.e. the correct answer would have to be marked out in the optical mark recognition (OMR) format answer sheet provided, and no writing of an answer would be required). The paper will be divided in the following sections.
