Indian Air Force (IAF), one of India’s most powerful department recruits twice a year in February and September both male and female for the post of Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches by conducting Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT).

Eligibility Required to apply for this post are as below:

Flying Branch:
For Male/Female Candidates: – Should be in age between 19 to 23 years at the time of applying.
– Educational Qualifications: Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Technical Branch:
For Male/Female Candidates: – Should be in age between 18 to 28 years at the time of applying.
– Educational Qualifications: Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates applying for AE(L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineers by actual studies.
Aeronautical Engineer(Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates applying for AE(M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies.

AFCAT Selection Process: After qualifying the written entrance test, the candidates will undergo following stages of tests-
(a) Stage-I Test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other tests will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing.
(b) Stage-II test consists of Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview will be conducted on subsequent days (Four Days).
(c) For Flying Branch: Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) would be administered to eligible candidates.

Indian Air Force AFCAT Exam Pattern: The entrance test will contain 100 multiple choice questions. All questions will be of three marks each.

The Border Security Force (BSF) is a Border Guarding Force of India. BSF conducts exam every year for filling the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI Stenographer), Head Constable (Ministerial) and Constable(Daftry) in Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Both male & female candidates are eligible to apply for these posts.

Educational Qualification Required to apply for ASI(STENO), HC(M) & CT(DAFTRY) are as below:
Age Limit: Candidates must be between the age of 18 to 25 years at the time of applying.
Educational Qualification:– For ASI(Steno) & HC (Min): Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
– For Constable (Daftry): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.

Border Security Force ASI(STENO), HC(M) & CT(DAFTRY) Exam Pattern: The selection will be done in two phases – First Phase includes Written Examination and second phase consist of –
– Physical Measurement (PST)
– Short Hand Test (only for ASI(Steno))
– Typing Speed Test (only for HC(Min))
– Documentation (Checking of Documents)
– Medical Examination.

Border Security Force BSF Written Exam Pattern: Written examination will consist of multiple choice question in the following parts:

NOTE:– Question paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi both.
– The minimum qualifying marks of written test for General Category – 35% and OBC/SC/ST – 33%.

The candidates declared successful in written examination will be called to appear in the second phase of selection separately. The candidates found eligible after physical measurement will only be allowed to appear in typing (for HC/Min) and Stenography speed test (for ASI/Steno) which will be qualifying in nature and to be cleared separately in each stage.
